I. Basic Purpose and Scope
Adjudicate warranty claims submitted by KTC dealers. Verify information submitted to insure conformance with warranty policies and procedures. Review failed parts to identify defects in materials and/or workmanship. Assist dealers with the warranty process via phone calls and on site visits.
II. Principal Activities: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
Adjudicate assigned warranty claims within the time frame established by management. Insure presence of defect by reviewing text, photos, or parts, verify that parts and labor request are appropriate for the repair, correct any miscoding of information, make sure all information submitted is clear and correct (return for correction when necessary).
Receive and inspect failed parts to verify defect, and identify root cause of failure. Ship parts to vendors by request, and return ineligible parts back to dealer.
Review daily reports to find and correct claim processing errors.
Answer dealers’ questions regarding KTC warranty policies and procedures.
Maintain parts recall table in iWarranty system.
Maintain dealer labor rate and dealer reimbursement table (certified/non certified level) in iWarranty system.
Produce basic warranty status reports using Business Warehouse.
III . Special Projects:
Travel to company facilities to assist with dealer training. Attend company meetings as Warranty Department Representative. Other projects as assigned.
I V. Minimum Qualifications
A. Required Education, Training and/or Experience:
Community College or Technical School Graduate (2 year program) with an emphasis on mobile equipment design or repair.
“Hands on” experience repairing mobile equipment.
B. Skills and Background:
High level of mechanical aptitude.
Intermediate level Microsoft Office ability (subject to test).
Ability to visualize a situation based on a written or spoken report.
Ability to resolve conflicts, and to remain calm during stressful situations.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
C. Language Requirements:
English, native level. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

E. Physical Requirements
Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance. Able to operate mobile equipment to become familiar with acceptable performance parameters.

The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer.
