Performs system and application software upgrades including installation, testing, and coordination on Windows desktops. Performs workstation and server administration setup. Researches and provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting. Provides specialized Loan Pool Laptop technical support with limited supervision, and follows the loan pool standard operating instuctions and documents. Performs tasks in support of technical requirements and end users request (Helpdesk tickets). Maintains Loan Pool documentation and updates as required. Demonstrates a working knowledge of software, hardware, operating systems and installation procedures for Loan Pool laptop support. May define new hardware, software and upgrade requirements for existing equipment. May provide cross training to other technical personnel in related task areas. Will actively monitor all loan pool requests and provide IT support to end users. Will constantly and consistently document systems and work instructions.
Required Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Windows desktops operating systems (XP, Windows 7), installing and configuring desktop applications, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
Required Experience
3-5 Years of desktop/IT support
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to successfully pass required background checks.
