We are seeking Analyst candidates for our New York office. Professionals from the New York office have been involved in the most complicated, challenging, and highest-profile cases reported on the front pages of business and financial publications, as well as cases that push the boundaries of economic thinking as applied to a legal setting. Our areas of expertise include securities & financial markets, valuation & financial analysis, insider trading, structured finance, and pharmaceuticals.
As part of our team-oriented environment, Analysts work closely with our staff economists to provide in-depth economic analyses. While each project presents a different set of challenges, general responsibilities include:
Analysts develop case strategy, conduct analyses for reports, and prepare experts to testify in court. Our work environment is casual and travel is not required.
- Executing project casework effectively in a team setting. •Researching, identifying, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data including: analyst reports, news articles, academic journals, stock market data, and economic data. •Developing econometric and financial models in Excel, SAS, STATA, and VBA. •Preparing exhibits and presentations for clients. Within case teams, analysts make important contributions during all phases of a project.
Ideal candidates will have at least a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field from a top university, a strong quantitative background, a high level of attention to detail, proven teamwork skills, and exemplary organization and communication skills.
