Position Summary:

Provide support to our retail customer and Business Managers with data and recommendations, covering all facets of account support, sales, merchandising, marketing, product development and planning information. In addition, the analyst will help develop specific category and principal strategies to maximize sales and gain share. In addition, the position may develop into becoming an expert in category review processes. Current available analyst position opportunities will require assignment to the areas of category responsibilities into a Grocery or Health Beauty Care depending on department business needs.

Responsibilities and Expected Contributions:
  • Complete all analytical projects on time, error free, and with actionable insights
  • Prepare for and attend meetings with Business Managers
  • Conduct research and analyze data to derive key insights from multiple sources possibly including:
- Nielsen Nitro / Homescan

- Spectra

- Mintel

- Dunnhumby

- Planet Retail

- ConsmerBase

- Market 6
  • Prepare business reviews and identify the risks and opportunities
  • Become a key resource and analytical leader
  • Evaluate assigned category performance at brand/commodity level and provide visibility to risks/opportunities
  • Seek information on assigned categories to identify and improve non-value added practices
  • Analysis of assigned categories against budget and forecast
  • Prepare and present presentations in front of Business Managers
  • Bachelors Degree is strongly preferred
  • 1.5 + Years of CPG and/or Broker Analytical experience
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Possess solid skills to perform business calculations
  • MS Office Suite Skills
- EXCEL – Strong or Advanced skills are a must

- OUTLOOK, PowerPoint and WORD – Proficient

- ACCESS – Prior knowledge and working experience preferred
  • Visual Basic is a plus
  • Preferred database knowledge and skills and/or willingness and ability to learn:
- Nielsen Nitro / Homescan

- Spectra Infinet

- Mintel

- dunnhumby

- Planet Retail

- ConsumerBase

- Space Management Software (Apollo, JDA…)
