Imagine One has an immediate opening for an experienced Analyst to provide support to Naval Sea Systems Command Detachment Radiological Affairs Support Office. This office provides Department of Navy (DoN)-wide policy, management, and oversight of operations involving radioactive material and other sources of radiation used in industrial, operational, and environmental applications.
The Radiological Affairs Support Office (RASO), located at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, Virginia, is a detachment of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) 04N and serves as Technical Support Center for the Naval Radiation Safety Committee (NRSC). The NAVSEA 04N/RASO team accomplishes its mission by: publishing radiological controls policy and procedural directives, approving operations using radiation sources, inspecting field activity radiation safety programs, providing radiation safety training, establishing radiological environmental clean-up standards, approving radiological environmental clean-up plans and reports, and coordinating disposal of radioactive waste. NAVSEA 04N also serves as the Technical Lead Agency and financial manager for the Navy and Marine Corps Laser Safety Program.
Must have or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
Ability to clearly communicate problems and project status
Prior military experience (preferably Navy) a plus
Maintain student records, database management, manage historical metrics, process quota requests and prepare completion certificates for the Radiation Safety Officer, Transportation of Radioactive Material, X-ray Radiography, and Radioactive Safety training courses for over 150 Navy and Marine Corps Commands
Maintain attendance records and prepare 200 plus certificates for each annual Radiation Safety Officer conference
As Command Messaging Administrator, manage the receipt and transmittal of all naval message traffic through the Navy Regional Enterprise Messaging Systems (NREMS) .
Prepare paper and electronic files for filing and archiving
As Assistant Security Manager; coordinate clearances with NAVSEA Headquarters for all military and civilian personnel
Coordinate access for students and visitors with the station's Security Office in conjunction with the Pass and ID Office
Develop, maintain, and train on all written standard operating procedures for assigned tasks to be used by staff members
Assistant Official Mail Manager; coordinate distribution of all types of mail and material shipments
Maintain/update a database of approximately 2,000 address and points of contacts
Manage all folders and files on the local drive, used by all staff members, 04N and N455. Scan into the shared drive all incoming and outgoing correspondence
Manage all command files, including administrative, technical, program specific, instructions, and directives
Format instructions and Standard Procedures per Naval Correspondence Manual and SECNAV instructions
As Information Technology Staff Trainer; Routinely conduct training on all computer based programs and computer based hardware (NetMeeting, Microsoft Office 7, multi use printer/scanners etc)
Create and maintain the administrative e-mail account with NMCI for all general correspondence and naval messages
Accomplish Quality Assurance checks for open, closed, and pending correspondence; verfiy it with the data from all 4 integrated spreadsheets.
Create and maintain the public calendar for appointments, classroom reservations, leave, training and meetings
Maintain an NMCI developer's account to be able to install specialized software on select computers for each Directorate
Administer the Corporate Document Management System (CDMS)
Operate as Electronic Service Record (ESR) Command Leave Administrator (CLA)
Establish and maintain supplies and a system for receipt and distribution to all staff members
As Purchase Research Manager; acquire and develop technical specifications for equipment purchases and conduct market research to determine best products to recommend to Management for purchase
In-process all new hires and incoming military personnel and ensure a flawless transition to RASO
Five (5) years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
U.S. Citizenship required
Minimum Secret clearance required OR candidate must be eligible to apply and be granted DoD interim clearance
