Full Time - We are currently seeking an Analytical Services Manager to join our team of professionals. This position can be based out of one of our locations in Princeton - NJ, Tarrytown - NY or Minneapolis - MN. This is an exciting opportunity with great growth potential. This individual will be responsible to provide automated information management resources, reporting tools, surveys, and training for the Data Acquisition Teams.

Our ideal candidate is an individual who has 5 or more years in a lead analytical role in the marketing industry or related field. This individual will posses strong experience performing data analysis and metrics development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics

Manage IT resources in the development of custom reporting database applications

Perform testing and data migration with-in ALC application systems

Create Excel templates to improve reporting efficiency

Maintain client billing allocation module for Financial Services Group

Design and maintain EOM commission reports for acquisition groups

Develop ad hoc Cognos queries and reports upon request

Assist ALC teams with Access databases and data warehousing initiatives

Assist with the preparation and analyses for new business proposals and client reviews

Circulation/Campaign Planning

Prepare direct mail plans for new and existing accounts

Update custom Excel response databases for major accounts

Upload and standardize new client response data.

Industry Research

Update annual Seasonal Mail Trends reports on corporate web site

Provide web survey design, distribution, analysis, and reports

Maintain Research Library and documentation for acquisition products & services


Essential Skills and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Accounting, Business, Finance or Marketing Research is a must

Minimum 5 years experience in the direct marketing industry or related field

Minimum 6 years experience financial analysis, budgeting, and spreadsheet automation

Knowledge of research techniques including statistical analysis procedures and techniques

Advanced skill and proficiency with MS Excel and Access. Strong working knowledge of Pivot Tables (including building formulas into tables), Advanced formulas (such as Vlookup, Weighting, Indexing, Ranking, Variance, etc.) and Macros/VBA/SQL

Strong data analysis and metrics skills

Able to efficiently analyze data and deliver key insights

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and under pressure

Experience with Cognos Impromptu or equivalent

Experience working with large data sets

Familiarity with marketing metrics across multiple industries a plus!
