Corporate Trust, a division of our client, provides trustee and agency services to support conventional debt, structured finance and public finance transactions including Asset-Backed Securitizations, Collateralized Debt Obligations, Conduits, Structured Investment Vehicles, Single and Multi-Family Housing Financing.
There is a strategic program underway to minimise the risk related to user developed technologies (UDT's) and CT Analytics is responsible for ensuring that all UDT's are compliant with the client's Corporate Policy on UDT's and that in the future the issue of users developing their own solutions is minimised.
This position is responsible for analysing and understanding existing UDT's and related underlying deal requirements and then building/programming/enhancing to ensure that the UDT meets the client Corporate Policy on UDT's and the relevant deal documentation.
The incumbent will be required to read and understand deal related legal documentation, analyse the existing UDT and identify the relevant details and information to enable them to create a deal model or convert a UDT using SQL, Excel, VB / VBA and MS Access and a variety of propriety and vendor systems. In addition, the analyst will provide support and ongoing maintenance for converted UDT's / deal models using both bespoke and proprietary systems.
: Analyse and understand complicated finance product structures, legal documentation and UDT functionality.
: Remediate UDT's using proprietary systems, SQL, Excel or VBA skills based off deal documentation or UDT functional specifications.
: Liaise with the team, or directly with client service to ensure a seamless conversion of the UDT that fully reflects deal requirements or functional requirements.
: Ensure that deliverables are met on UDT remediation and other allocated projects.
: Support and QC UDT conversions, this includes ensuring that the outputs from the converted UDT match the outputs from the UDT or discrepancies are fully justified and documented.
: Provide support and QA to other team members
: Maintain all relevant documentation and ensure compliance with the Corporate UDT policy.
: Assist with the development and implementation of process, risk management and audit controls model.
Key Technical Competencies/Experience/Qualifications
: University degree is preferred.
: 3+ years work experience within a financial institution preferably working with Structured Finance and conventional debt products is required.
: Knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL, VB / VBA, or similar database, query writing or programming experience is required, knowledge of Sharepoint would be useful.
: Business Analysis experience is preferred.
: An understanding of Public Finance is preferred.
: Crystal Report writing experience is preferred.
: A demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, take full ownership of projects and work independently is required.
: Must have exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
: Must be able to respond quickly to critical business needs, prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
: Attention to detail is vital, as is accuracy whilst working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
: Required is an excellent understanding of written and spoken English.
