Duties and Responsibilities

We ’re looking for a smart, driven, and skilled analytics software developer to play a key role in our high-performance, agile development team. You will have the opportunity to work with a great team on cutting-edge ‘big data ’ analysis software.

Your job will be to work on a fun, fast-paced agile software development team focused on delivering great software on time and on budget. This will include the following key activities:
  • Develop and implement data analysis algorithms using an established C++ and R ‘big data ’ framework
  • Work closely with product QA engineers, data scientists, technical writers, and product owner to provide fully-functional, high-quality features that address customer needs in a timely manner
  • Ph.D. in Statistics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Biostatistics, or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of machine learning algorithms, multivariate statistics and statistical computations
  • Strong knowledge of algorithm design
  • 3-5 years ’ experience implementing algorithms in C/C++
  • Experience with R/S/SPLUS preferred
  • Experience with SAS, SPSS, or MATLAB a plus
  • Applied statistical experience also a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate with data scientists, QA engineers and technical writers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies
  • Strong technical, leadership, and team collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, leading, advocating and seeing issues and projects through to resolution.
  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments; experience with clusters/grids preferred (e.g., Hadoop, Microsoft HPC Server, and/or Linux cluster job schedulers)
