About You

You are an outstanding Android engineer who is thrilled by building beautiful, intuitive and reliable apps for our drivers and passengers. This includes everything from pixel perfect UI implementations to protocol implementation, performance optimizations and hunting down bugs found among our large user base. You are confident that you can jump straight into our code base and start improving it. Ideally you also have experience with client-server solutions and network communications.
Responsibilities

Work closely with our product and design teams to create a world class user experience

Implement pixel (or rather, dp) perfect designs

Prototype new features and redesign existing ones

Extend and implement our APIs together in collaboration with the server team

Improve our processes and product quality together with QA and release management

Implement unit and UI automation tests

Qualifications

B.S., M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, or 4+ years of software engineering

1+ years experience with Android (ideally also with iOS or other mobile platform)

Solid CS fundamentals combined with demonstrated skills in delivering code

Experience working closely with designers and product managers

Experience with mobile QA, and the problems associated with bugs found in the field

Desire to join a collaborative work environment

Contributions to open source projects are a merit
