Working with the Office of Advancement Team, this starter-position will solicit and secure individual gifts from alumni, parents and friends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a portfolio of key alumni, parent, and other prospects and maintain a steady schedule of personal visits monthly.
Working with the director of major gifts, develop and execute a plan to increase giving of donors currently in the $250-$1,000 range to the $1,000-$5,000 range.
Identify, evaluate and maintain informational files on individual prospects for solicitation.
Working with the Office of Alumni/Parent Programs and Advancement team, promote annual giving to constituents who attend events.
Working with the Office of Alumni/Parent Programs and Advancement team, solicit gifts related to reunion weekend, athletics and other affinities.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Major Gifts.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Valid driver’s license required.
A Bachelor’s degree and some fundraising or related experience preferred. Salve Regina University graduate strongly preferred. Previous personal solicitation experience a plus. Basic understanding of higher-educational development preferred. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software applications. Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends required.
