Must have a college degree and five to seven years of annual fundraising experience (leading a volunteer corps and personal cultivation). Must have the ability to plan and implement multiple facets of a comprehensive development program. Knowledge of diverse fundraising techniques and experience with donor tracking, gift recording information, storage, retrieval and reporting systems. Extensive knowledge and application of donor database software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Must have superior verbal and written communication skills to present the hospital's mission, vision, values and needs. Strong leadership, decision-making skills and mature judgment are necessary. Needs to possess high level of conceptual and technical knowledge about fundraising practices and principles. Will often manage in an environment of professional autonomy. Setting goals and objectives for outcome measurement for comprehensive programs is expected. Designing and maintaining necessary policies and procedures to support donors and The Foundation is an imperative. Working within a budget is fundamental. Must be able to work under pressure and be a team supporter. The Foundation’s Annual Giving Director must have an experienced, proven track record of leading and managing multiple programs and demonstrated closer of gifts $25,000 and up.

The Foundation Director, Annual Support must be able to lead, plan, organize, implement and direct all aspects of the annual support program consistent with the mission and vision of EJGH through fund raising programs/activities including but not limited to the annual fund (volunteer personal solicitation program), special events, business and corporate sponsorships, grateful patient program, workplace giving, special recognition, donor cultivation/relationships and board/volunteer development. Responsible for providing direction, training and support for effective involvement of board and volunteers in achieving annual and long range goals and objectives. Develops, plans, implements and evaluates the success of the Annual Support Program. Organizes and develops special projects and events, marketing strategies including publications and brochures, and other aspects of the Annual Giving Program.

Minimum of five years’ experience in direct fundraising, annual support, stewardship, prospect research and events, preferably in a healthcare/ non-profit organization setting or similar.
