We have an excellent opportunity for an Application Developer (Enterprise HCM) in our National Center office in Dallas, TX.

The Application Developer (Enterprise HCM) works primarily to develop technical solutions for the AHA’s Human Capital Management System – Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise application, including building/developing application tables, panels, interfaces, SQRs, codes individual modules and complex functions, and reports. This position is responsible for software integration, external interface development and technical documentation.

Major Responsibilities Include:
Provides leadership in all phases of application development, enhancements and implementation according to the documented methodologies and procedures.

Develops project work plans and manages project to completion in accordance with plans.

Formulates system scope and objectives and develops detailed design specifications. Translates system function and features to programming specifications.

Designs, executes and documents integrated system test according to standards as appropriate.

Informs Operational Systems Manager of status and time estimates for work on a regular basis.

Ensures technical documentation and project audit trails exist for the supported applications.

Updates system procedures and standards as necessary.

Coordinates members of the team ensuring critical information is disseminated to the appropriate members and at the appropriate time.

Manages Operational Systems projects and staff with minimal supervision.

Coaches and counsels programmer/analysts. If supervisory experience is assigned, individual is responsible for the annual performance evaluation process and hiring, training, and allocation of assigned resources.

Performs R&D tasks for the purpose of evaluating new technologies.

Evaluates third party software applications and tools to determine if they meet user and development needs.

Other specific duties as directed by the Manager, Operational Systems.

Required Skills

Required Experience

Required Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Minimum of 5 years demonstrated technical knowledge of the Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM application or a minimum of 7 years demonstrated functional knowledge of an enterprise HCM application.

Extensive knowledge of HCM system support and associated supporting technologies such as, but not limited to ADP Interface, PS 9.0 SQL Server, specifically HR, E-Benefits, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, VB, Access and BEA Weblogic.

In depth understanding of the principles and practices of Human Resources and Payroll operations.

Ability to interact with all levels of AHA staff.

Ability to identify and share operational solutions between various entities.

Demonstrated excellent analytical abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office in a windows environment.
