This position is responsible for all phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of the IPP application. This position requires the ability to work independently or with only general supervision and direction. The position involves providing technical assistance, training and direction to other staff, as required.

Principal Accountabilities:
Implement and support module level enhancements in an existing code base through-out a development life cycle.

Apply programming patterns to implement new functionality while leveraging the existing code structure.

Coordinate, formulate and/or execute various testing activities, such as unit, functional, systems integration, performance and penetration testing.

Investigate, debug, and resolve a wide variety of problems that occur with software applications.

Provide technical assistance to other staff.

Create and maintain application technical documentation.

Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of job related experience in the computer engineering field.

Familiarity with Weblogic, Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, JMS, UNIX and/or Windows platforms, and enterprise web application development required;

Advanced knowledge of and ability to efficiently write J2EE programs required.

Familiarity with Mule, Connect:Direct, Secure Transport, MQSeries, Siteminder, Sun Java Identity Manager, LDAP, or Robohelp a plus.

All employees assigned to this position will be subject to FBI fingerprint/ criminal background and Patriot Act/ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) watch list checks at least once every five years.
