Responsibilties:
  • Elicit, analyze and implement requirements gathered from change request system for supply chain and manufacturing applications written in Java. Also needs to perform unit and integration level testing of implementations.
  • Be a “thought leader” and investigate to see where automation of supply chain and manufacturing tasks would be helpful and whether that would be in the form of new applications or upgrades to existing applications.
  • Able to evaluate current state and future plans against business requirements to verify business requirements will be satisfied.
  • Consult with infrastructure and other IT areas on impact of changes to business applications.
  • Work with business project manager to review problems, define and test solutions, and develop reports for user management.
  • With the help of the business, prioritize help desk tickets and project requests.
  • Be available for off-hours support
Skills / Knowledge:
  • In depth knowlege of current principles and practices of information technology and applications development in a plant floor environment.
  • Strong understanding of change control and release methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong coaching skills. Ability to step outside role confines and help teach and enable other team members.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • In depth knowlege of current principles and practices of information technology and applications development in a plant floor environment.
  • Must know Java 6, JSP, Struts, Spring IOC, SQL, Hibernate, Ant, JUnit
  • Should know Scrum, MS TFS, XDoclet, JavaScript, YUI, Eclipse, OC4J
Education: BS in Computer Science or comparable degree.

Experience:
  • 5+ years in IT/Software Development.
  • 5+ years with N-Tier application development.
  • 5+ years web development.
