Under the direction of the Information Resources Manager, administers the design, implementation and management of application systems for use across areas of Renown Health entities. This position works with the other members of the IR teams, including the Application Specialists 1, 2 and 3 and others, and works with the user community to provide solutions that meet overall functional needs relating to information technology and application systems. Also helps ensure technical problems and application performance issues are addressed, typically working through other members of the teams. The incumbent has authority to oversee the development of optimum screen and document layouts, and the development of data elements and modify databases and other aspects of application solutions; and works with assigned clinical and business areas to reach agreement on solutions and/or recommendations for solutions to the appropriate levels of Company leadership. Participates in providing solutions and on-going support to support business and clinical needs.
This position will be focused on their assigned area(s) of the Company; and will also help provide leadership to ensure cross-coordination with other teams and other areas of the Company in order to optimize investments in application and technical solutions.
Nature and Scope:
This position works directly with the customer base to design and develop automated solutions for departmental and functional requirements. This includes screen design, pathways, system flows, interfaces, report design, system documentation and recommendations for alternate non-mainframe support software.
The incumbent will provide instruction and guidance to Application Specialists 1, 2 and 3 and Web Developers 1, 2 and 3 to ensure effective and efficient use of system resources and comprehensive and thoroughly tested solutions to customer requirements. Participates as an informal leader in providing solutions to other departments to help resolve their business needs.
The incumbent will provide accurate and timely project status reporting to ensure compliance with established timeliness and recording of allocated work hours. All variances from established schedules must be recommended to and approved by the Information Resources Manager or Director.
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting a variety of software applications and development tools that may include, but is not limited to : Microsoft Reporting Services, OS/400, Microsoft Office, MS SQL and other relational database systems, Visual Studio.NET (C#, ASP.NET, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Healthcare field will receive preference, but is not required.
Minimum of five years experience with application design, development and maintenance or system implementation, configuration and support. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in healthcare systems.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Typing 45 WPM.
