Under the direction of the Information Resources Manager, this position participates in the analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of new and existing application systems used within Renown Health entities. This position works with the user community to resolve technical problems and application performance issues. This position also acts as a trainer to the customer community regarding technical information and application performance. The incumbent has authority to determine optimum screen and document layouts, build data elements and modify databases. Participates in providing solutions and on-going support to other departments to help resolve their business needs.
Nature and Scope:
This position works directly with the customer base to design and develop automated solutions for departmental and functional requirements. This includes system design, development, interfaces, system documentation, training, maintenance, screen design and layout, system flows, report design and recommendations for alternate non-mainframe support software for manual and automated support systems. Supports and provides extraction of operational data from various source systems. Transforms, aggregates and integrates information and promotes efficient and effective delivery of information to the end user. Data collection and presentation involves the creation of design specifications, accessing data through a variety of databases and the creation of accurate, meaningful and relevant information for diverse audiences. Information management requires maintaining integrity of data and working with other departments to acquire information. This position functions as an internal consultant to provide analysis and support to departments of all Renown Health entities. Acts as technical liaison between users and third party application product providers. This position is also responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of new software when needed. This position operates with a great deal of autonomy and requires skill in small-scale project management.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Healthcare field will receive preference, but is not required.
Minimum of two years experience with mainframe applications or Windows applications as a clinical or financial user, technical specialist or programmer. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in healthcare systems.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Typing: 45+ words per minute.
