Discover Home Loans is looking for a qualified Application Support Analyst to join our Irvine team!

The Application Support Analyst will assist and support the entire company with all proprietary applications. This may consist of assisting with training issues, determining bugs or glitches and identifying necessary application changes based on the user needs.

The Application Support Analyst is responsible for second level business application support to end users. Their responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
• Identifying, researching, and resolving advanced mortgage application related issues.
• Responding to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for business application support.
• Documenting, tracking and monitoring the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Communicating effectively with the end user concerning when and how a problem will be resolved
• Creating, developing, testing, and implementing mortgage documents into the loan origination system
Skills
A successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
• High school diploma
• Prior Mortgage industry experience
• 2+years experience with SQL
• 2+ years working in an application support role
• 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Any similar combination of education and experience
• Basic technical skills with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2007/2010 applications are essential. A general working knowledge of the mortgage industry and mortgage applications is a must
• Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction
• Ability and desire to work in a team environment
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to interpret and apply required policies and procedures
• Ability to review end user needs and provide recommendations
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedure within such field
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to formulate and deliver a solution in a timely manner
• Ability and desire to work in a team environment
