Job Description

Provide a

pplication support for the front office’s investment and trading platforms, including interfacing with portfolio managers and traders daily. Troubleshoot business issues, solving problems to provide solutions to diverse investment teams and the product aligned trading desks. Take ownership and accountability for the operation, monitoring and integrity of the technology platform. Provide escalation support for the members of the team located in other regions. Take ownership of and participate in the Incident and problem management processes, accountable for resolution, root cause analysis and technology and business reporting and communication. Provide oversight for the stability of the production environment within the change management process ensuring policies are adhered to and enforced. Engage in relationship management internally with the investment teams, trading desks, operations teams, legal, audit, risk and compliance teams. Navigate the wider technology organization; build relationships to manage the team’s agenda with our critical technology partners. Interface with external vendors and their technical support and development organizations ensuring focus to resolution of issues and strategic enhancements. Proactively identify improvements and address them through independent thinking within a consensus driven team.


Minimum education required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

: 5

years of IT development experience, technology support experience,

or related experience.


Skills required:
Must have experience providing application support for the financial services industry. Must have demonstrated knowledge of trade flows and operations within Fixed Income. Must have experience providing application support to

asset management vendor applications including: Perform;




Sentinel; and LET. Must have experience supporting trading applications.

Must have experience using Enterprise scheduling/workflow software.

Must have experience using tools and technologies including: Sybase, Oracle, and MS SQL Server; Shell and PERL scripting; Eclipse; DB Artisan; Visual Studio; MQ Messaging; and Java and .NET.
