Job Description:
The Applications Specialist - Implementation II role is chiefly focused on implementation activities for operational management applications for back-up and full service child care. The individual will maintain implementation process documentation and project plans, as well as standard communication materials and global training documentation and materials. The individual will work directly with center teams, management, client services, and finance to understand business needs and processes for individual centers and clients, and map them to system functionality. The individual will also participate in training and support activities as a regular part of day to day activities. The candidate will provide training to end users requiring non-standard training due to unique business requirements at their center.

Implementation Management Tasks:
  • Analyze implementation trends and synthesize and implement process and communication changes to counteract undesirable trends
  • Manage center set-up calls and complete center set-up process to match the business requirements of individual centers and programs with system functionality
  • Suggest ways to improve the implementation process, training processes, related materials and communications based on feedback and observation and strives to constantly refine internal implementation management and execution processes to build both the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation function.
  • Manage software implementation process for non-standard implementations including new centers, center transitions, center closings, and non-standard programs
  • Provide updates and information to cross-functional teams on non-standard center set-up needs while acting as a liaison to these teams to ensure that center set-ups meet all policy requirements and are aligned with the requirements of the teams
  • Provide training and support for non-standard program implementations
  • Manage implementation process for client and center changes ensuring complete and accurate data
Implementation Communication Materials

  • Maintain user facing implementation management materials including due date calendars and task and/or training communications
  • Create weekly company newsletter submissions
  • Create just-in-time training/clarification materials as needed
  • Create release notes to educate end users on upcoming software changes
  • Maintain standard training materials including quarterly incorporation of release notes
  • Maintain implementation process flow diagrams, project plans and corporate-level team communications
Support Activities

  • Contribute substantially to resolution of open tickets and application troubleshooting
Ad-hoc Projects and Audits

  • Perform and document results of user acceptance testing in advance of software releases
  • Additional projects as assigned and needed
The individual should possess a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, and have strong computer skills which include a proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and Access. The individual must be able to easily adapt to new systems/software/programs and have a track record of working with Proprietary Management Information Systems. The individual must have excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, a strong customer service philosophy, impeccable organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills. The ability to work on cross-functional teams and prioritize work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment will be essential as this position requires someone who thrives in a team environment as well as in an individual setting and functions effectively under pressure.

Job Qualifications also include; developing and maintaining a complete understanding of the business issues surrounding back-up and full service child care, a willingness to take on new projects, flexibility regarding department responsibilities, and having an intellectual aggressiveness with a track record of success in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues and questions related to complex processes and systems. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, results-driven and goal-oriented, someone who is comfortable setting aggressive goals and exceeding them.
