Provides technical support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex systems. Assists sales staff and market development in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications. Provides, presents, and interprets design, application, and service information. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications. Develops product specifications and develops applications designed for a specific customer. Implements detailed customer installation plans. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of quality; in work, processes, products, and results.

Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 10+ years experience.

Essential Technical Experience
SoC based embedded system development (hardware and firmware)
Processor cores like ARM is a plus.
Proficiency in C, C++ is a must.
Systems level debug experience (both Hardware and Software)
Experience in Real-Time Operating Systems, Concepts and debug capability.
Experience in development of Android and Linux-based consumer products.
Technical understanding of hardware architecture (read and understand hardware block diagrams, schematics at high level and datasheet) and software architecture (Android, Linux kernel, drivers and middleware).
Strong knowledge of Digital Video standards MPEG2, H.264
Knowledge of Over-the-top(OTT), HTML5, DLNA, Adaptive streaming is a plus
Familiarity with industry frameworks such as gStreamer along with associated codecs, Webkit.

Key Competencies
Audio and/or Video experience would be preferred, including anything related to Over-the-TOP(OTT)/IPTV, satellite and cable set-top boxes.
Demonstrate excellent triage and debugging skills down to the driver level.
Experience with source code control systems
Customer support experience preferred. Ability to resolve any and all customer issues.
Track customer issues and provide detailed feedback on issues.
Ability to adapt to changing customer / product requirements.
Excellent written and oral communications skills is a must.
Critical thinking and Problem solving skills.
Excellent planning, time management, decision-making and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight time frames with local and remote teams.
Team work.
Presentation skills
Leadership skills is a plus.


Education Level Required - Bachelor"s Level Degree, Years of Work Experience - 8 to 12, Desired Competencies are - Video Applications.The Other skills required are Proficiency in Linux OS inncluding ability to debug issues on complex Software systems. Fluent in C or C++.
