We currently have a full time position in our Bettendorf clinic for an Appointment Scheduler Supervisor. The responsibilites of this position are as follows:
Manages the daily operations of the scheduling department, ensuring scheduling staff is following all ORA policies and procedures
Implements new processes to improve customer service and efficiencies in the scheduling department
Performs annual performance reviews for staff
Responsible for initiating and following up on disciplinary procedures for staff
Acts as a liaison between physicians, clinic staff and the scheduling department
Monitors the quality of inbound calls, establishes improvements that need to be made and implements the process improvements
Responsible for training and development of staff
Assists staff with complex or sensitive scheduling issues that may arise
Functions as a scheduler to cover vacations and high call volumes, by answering incoming patient calls and scheduling appointments in a friendly and efficient manner
Knowledge of customer service principals and techniques
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, problem solving and organization skills.
Proven ability to build relationships with and influence all levels within the organization.
Detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects.
Knowledge of personal computer applications and Electronic Medical Record
Bachelor's degree in Health or Business Administration preferred
Three years of appointment scheduling in a medical office
Three years of medical office management or similar management experience preferred
