Outpatient Team Supervisor
Candidate will supervise staff that provides services to adults and children with mental illness, substance use and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Candidate will provide leadership and create vision for staff resulting in an understanding and a belief in recovery and co-occurring services. Candidate will plan and determine team work priorities, staff utilization and caseloads & implement and monitor the team’s clinical practices, efficiencies and effectiveness. Candidate will provide direct services, document treatments and provide clinical guidance as directed to other clinical and direct care staff as appropriate. Licensure/Certification: Registered with the State of Michigan as a Licensed Master’s Social Worker, Limited Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Professional Counselor. Education: Master’s degree in an appropriate mental health discipline. Minimum Qualifications: Experience/Knowledge: Five or more years’ experience providing mental health services and at least two years’ supervisory experience. Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor designation desired.
Candidate will provide Supported Employment services. Actual work hours may fluctuate and include weekend hours as part of a regular work schedule. Certification: Employment Training Specialist Certification within 3 months. Education: Bachelor’s degree in mental health or social services, business, personnel management, vocational services or 5 years’ experience in a related area. Must have reliable means of transportation for transporting consumers and maintain safe driving record.
Case Manager-SMI – Full Time:
Candidate will provide case management services in the community to consumers with severe mental illness and their families. Must be licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a LLBSW, LBSW, LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, LLP, LLPC, LPC and must become fully licensed within 30 months of date of hire. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an appropriate discipline required. Must have one to two years’ experience providing treatment to individuals with a mental illness & have reliable means of transportation for home visits, transporting consumers and must maintain a safe driving record.
Candidate will be responsible for processing claims including benefit rate verifications and contract expiration monitoring. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience/Knowledge: Prefer at least one (1) year experience working in a medical insurance billing office.
Candidate will serve as the Berrien Mental Health Authority’s liaison with the local Department of Human Services and provides wraparound facilitation for children, youth, and their families. Must be licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, LLP, LLPC or LPC. Education: Master’s Degree in an appropriate discipline & one to two years’ experience providing treatment to children/adolescents. Must have reliable means of transportation for home visits and maintain safe driving record.
