Intuit is looking for a Software Architect to be part of Financial Institutions Connectivity and Data Services (FICDS) in Mountain View, who will provide technical leadership and architectural direction to the team. Successful candidate will be a technology evangelist, customer oriented, results driven and passionate about building great products used by millions of people. The Software Architect is a senior technical leadership hands-on technology role at Intuit with deep technical responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple layers of architecture
Technical leadership for the development and delivery of shared services and components in systems that enable businesses across Intuit to build and test their offerings effectively and efficiently in a virtualized platform.
Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
As part of senior technical leadership, contribute to the strategic growth of the business bringing fresh perspectives into engineering methodologies, direction and services
Sets clear technological and architectural design context for the team they lead
Proposes changes to offering strategy to take advantage of new technological opportunities
Establishes a clear technological and architectural vision and generates broad support
Strikes a good balance in strategy and execution between aggressive pursuit of new opportunity created by evolving technological realities and pragmatic and “doable” approaches.
Provides a single point of contact for technological issues for the owned Architecture(s) including Intellectual Property, Privacy and Security, technical due diligence, and partner relations.
Qualifications
BS degree or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
Breadth and depth in current technology and trends in the industry
10+ years experience architecting, enhancing, building a large scale software product or service
Experience in Java,J2EE, RDBMS technologies with exposure on Financial, payment, large scale enterprise domain
Significant experience in virtualization technologies (e.g. AWS), security, optimization, best practices design principle, architecture visioning
Experience in building high performing large scale platform
Written and verbal communication skills (technical and non-technical) to facilitate dialog , decision making, and broad support for the team’s shared direction.
Strong mix of both software & systems design, analysis, and engineering experience.
Ability to think end-to-end about how to meet customer needs in a way that is operationally sustainable.
Experience both designing & analyzing end-to-end systems with both software development and systems dependencies.
Expertise in utilizing key metrics to evaluate and define requirements and drive design best practices.
Internally motivated, self-starter with ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to meet goals and achieve results.
Must balance multiple priorities and objectives. Handles conflict well.
Demonstrated leadership in working in a broad cross-functional environment.
Past experience working with SaaS/cloud applications and enterprise technology required.
Worked in an environment using Agile/Scrum methodologies
