Kohler Co. , one of the oldest and largest privately held companies in North America, has long been known as an industry leader in design and innovation. We are currently seeking an experienced Architect to join our highly talented and award winning Architecture and Interior Design group.

Kohler's A&ID group creates innovative design solutions across all Kohler customer touch points, including hospitality, showrooms, offices and residential design projects. The Architect will apply sound and diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices across a broad range of assignments. Our Architect will be responsible for developing architectural design solutions and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on building construction and renovation projects.

Project Design and Development

Prepare feasibility studies and fee estimates.
Develop preliminary design concepts through drawings, specifications, and renderings.
Establish project team incorporating all areas of responsibility.
Investigate alternatives and perform value engineering throughout design process.
Develop detailed bid packages, including finalized drawings and specifications.
Coordinate plan review submissions and obtain approvals from state and local authorities.
Secure quotations and review for compliance and assist with preparation of ACTs.
Construction Administration

Participate in job-site coordination meetings and design team meetings.
Review and approve submittals.
Respond to RFIs (Request for Information).
Monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and to insure quality.
Prepare "As-Built" drawings and specifications and other essential close-out documents.


Bachelor or Master's Degree in Architecture from an NAAB Accredited School of Architecture.
Minimum five years of experience working in an architectural office with a minimum of 3 years working as a project architect.
Registration/Licensure in the State of Wisconsin is required.
Technical savvy with proficiency in AutoCad, Revit Architecture and MS Office Suite.
Strong design skills and presentation skills.
Passion for design, client service, and collaboration.
Ability to thrive in a team environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Interest in a variety of building types.

LEED Certification is a plus.
NCARB certification is a plus.
Skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, SpecLink and other software are a plus
