Liberty Mutual International Holding (LIHI) is actively searching for an Architect . Liberty International Holdings comprises country operations in Asia, Europe, and Latin America, which provide personal and small commercial insurance products. Liberty International’s Home Office IT team is comprised of IT professionals from a variety of disciplines – application management, infrastructure, architecture, and security. Our major objective is to ensure that our operations sustain competitive advantage in their respective markets through their efficient and effective management of technology. Home Office IT drives the achievement of a number of key goals for our operations including nimbleness, speed to market, security, and reliability. In this position, you will provide technical management and systems solutions to large, strategic, complex system development projects involving multiple platforms, distributed processing, multi-tier client server and web-based applications. May be responsible for the technical management of entire application portfolios within a market.
Responsibilities:

Skilled at leveraging new and existing software and technology with focus on U/I, web/mobile development.
· May lead teams, may have overall leadership responsibility for project architecture and design for user interface and internet.
· Provides consultation to LI Country Operation CIO’s, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range business requirements. Recommends innovations, which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy.
· Reviews and ensures major architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible and cost effective.
· Works with application teams to identify functional requirements that drive security technology that enables business functionality.
· Develop web/mobile architectural strategies and direction which all the business to deliver new customer engagement models.
· Consult with application development and infrastructure development project teams to fit systems to architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate project needs.
· Responsible for prototyping complex, cross platform business solutions to validate newer technologies. Recommends emerging technological solutions to increase market share and reduce operational costs.
· Analyzes the technology industry and market trends for mobile/web to determine potential impact on the business.
· Influences technology direction and/or adjustments to incorporate these into business plans.
· Influences the selection of hardware and software product standards and the design of standard configurations; makes significant contributions to market-centric technology roadmaps and architectural principles.
· Actively participates in selected enterprise projects working closely with architects from other markets as well as from Hosting Services.
· Develops and manages effective working relationships with other departments, groups, peers, and subordinates.
