Opportunities for our architectural interns exist in multiple market segments in our Kansas City Headquarters. In general, architecture interns assist department and projects managers with introductory architecture tasks, compiling data, preparing specifications and plans, and various other duties as necessary. Specific assignments and project work varies on specific market and location. General information about our architectural work is provided below:
Project types include airports, and aircraft maintenance hangars, to enormous central utility plants; from state-of-the-art information technology facilities to aircraft manufacturing plants, and robotic paint facilities. Design work includes power distribution systems, voice/data networks, fiber optics, security systems, and fire alarm systems.
Project areas include on-site energy, healthcare, manufacturing, pipeline and liquid terminals and commercial architecture. Design work includes power distribution systems, instrumentation and controls, voice/data networks, fiber optics, security systems, and fire alarm systems.
Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited program with at least one year of post secondary education.
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Prior internship and/or related consulting experience is a plus.
Involvement on campus or in the community.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
