The Area eProduct Owner is a person, with good business acumen, that enjoys being responsible for achieving a decision in an ambiguous environment. An Area eProduct Owner is a person that thrives on working within a team environment, driving results, and achieving business value through the realization of product software. The Area eProduct Owners within the eProduct Owner team are responsible to be the primary interface between individual Solution Groups and the eSystems Scrum teams. The Area eProduct Owner role is the single person responsible for whether a team sinks or swims, he or she must have the confidence to make tough decisions that are best for the particular business.

A situation may occur, in rare cases that a sprint simply needs to be terminated because it is clear that the direction is so far off target that spending any more time would be for naught. • The Area eProduct Owner is the primary consumer of the sprint review, acting as the voice of the customer. Most certainly other customers are welcome to attend the sprint review, but the AEPO is the primary consumer.
