BRTRC, a growing government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking qualified candidates to provide technical transition solutions at Army organizations nationwide. These senior level positions serve as the Army SBIR technology Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and are strategically placed at Army research facilities to cover the breadth of Army SBIR involvement. These roles involve interaction with laboratory, PEO/PM, and small business personnel to keep all stakeholders informed of Army SBIR matters, answer questions, support ongoing SBIR efforts, and facilitate technology transition and transfer opportunities. These positions will act as the technical resource to support the Army in planning and facilitating transition of research & development (R&D) projects into Army acquisition programs. These opportunities are at the following locations: Natick, MA Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Warren, MI Fort Detrick, MD Redstone Arsenal, AL Picatinny, NJ Those interested should be excellent communicators willing to work in a team environment. Primary responsibilities include: Advise and assist Phase I SBIR awardees to: a) make better technical decisions concerning the projects; b) solve technical problems that may arise during project execution; c) minimize technical risks associated with the projects; and d) develop new commercial products and processes resulting from the projects. Advise the Government regarding technology transition planning and development of technology integration roadmaps through participation in PEO requirements development, technology assessment, and technology transition planning and management activities; provide specifically relevant and timely technical advice regarding integration of SBIR derived technologies into DoD programs. Assist in formulating Phase III plans for Phase II projects. The Phase III plan documents the strategy, requirements, and resources to transition the SBIR project to Phase III and from research into an acquisition program, larger science & technology effort, or stand-alone product or service.
