As an Art Director, you will be responsible for partnering with our internal teams and clients to design, execute and deliver innovative healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing initiatives. In this role, you will be required to understand client challenges and collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize, design, and execute for print and/or digital deliverables. The Art Director must possess the ability to take abstract concepts and turn them into exciting, cutting-edge designs that are representative of the client's goals, and within brand guidelines. In most cases, you will be required to work closely with copywriters and other designers to create solutions with oversight from Sr. Art Directors and/or Creative Directors.

Description of Duties
– Partner with clients to understand their brand, messaging, and creative vision
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders (creative, account, project management and editorial)
– Conceptualize and brainstorm innovative brand experiences
– Collaborate with copywriters to create sketches or storyboards that convey relevant concepts
– Design (or direct the creation of) solutions that are beyond what is expected or normal
– Partner with copywriters to establish or evolve messaging
– Review all copy deliverables associated with a project, provide feedback as needed
– Present work, provide design rationale, and defend work in creative reviews or meetings
– Present creative deliverables to clients and relay feedback to teams
– Ensure adherence to project timelines, scopes and budgets
– Identify staffing needs, manage resource allocations for reports
– Ensure adherence to all internal and client processes
– Lead, mentor and manage direct reports (designers/freelancers)
– Perform duties as assigned by creative directors

Minimum Requirements
– At least 5 years of agency (or in-house agency) experience
– Degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Arts, or a related course of study
– In-depth knowledge of Adobe CS5 and Microsoft Office
– Agency experience on pharmaceutical accounts preferred but not required
– Portfolio of highly creative work showcasing print and digital tactics
