Adayana Government Group is seeking a 3D Artist/Courseware Developer to join our team in Urbana, Illinois, for a six (6) month assignment. The ideal candidate has experience modeling and texturing assets for real-time environments. A solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential. The 3D Artist must also be skilled in illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, concept drawing -- and be well-versed in related tools --3DS Max, Photoshop, etc.

The ideal candidate works well in an environment of peers who are passionate about making great games. Candidate should also be proficient at interpreting content design documents, then working in a dynamic team environment to create and re-use instructional strategy templates, ultimately implementing SCORM-compliant Web-based training (WBT) in government learning management systems. Testing, troubleshooting and adapting online courses based on QA and LMS information.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Provides creative direction and design support to Adayana projects through:Supporting 2D and 3D object and environment graphic elements for web/e-learning pages and gaming and simulation environments Interpreting the client’s business needs and making changes based on client input to move projects forward Thinking creatively to produce new ideas Meeting the constraints of cost, time, deadlines and client demands Multi-tasking by working on more than one project at a time Producing accurate and high quality work Keeping abreast of industry trends, particularly design programs Working as a team with instructional designers, courseware developers, and project managers 2.

Provides support to all internal teams by: Participating in brainstorming sessions Assuming backup roles when needed Assisting with project quotesJob Requirements : Degree in Computer Science or Visual Arts Related Field Two years minimum web design and development experience 3+ years experience in game development modeling and texturing environments using 3DS Max and Photoshop (or equivalent 3D and 2D programs). Superior eye for light, shade, color and detail in creating texture maps. An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling. Proficiency in XHTML, JavaScript, ActionScript, CSS, XML, ASP, AJAX and various development tools (links to samples of previous work will be considered).

Experience with deployment of SCORM-compliant WBT courses featuring re-usable instructional strategies Experience with XSLT, VBA, SQL and object-oriented programming a plus Knowledge of 3D engines preferred Thorough understanding of project development methodologies Good interpersonal and communication skills Self motivation and ability to work in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment Technically savvy Motivation for continuous learningEOE M/F/D/V
