Artist in Residence, Chamber Music

The Division of Music invites nominations and applications for an Artist in Residence, Director of Chamber Music, and coordinator of contemporary music performance position--a full-time, non-tenure-track position that is renewable in one to three-year contracts. Duties include teaching and supervising a comprehensive chamber music program for music majors at undergraduate and graduate levels. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. Salary: commensurate with qualifications and experience. Starting date: August 15, 2013
Minimum qualifications: Master of Music degree, five years professional performance experience with national or international recognition, demonstrated pedagogical success in post-secondary education.
Preferred qualifications: Distinction in violin/viola performance in both solo and chamber music, particularly focusing on the repertoire of living composers; a record of excellence and innovation in instructional activities related to chamber music in a university setting; successful experience leading a diverse team of faculty and graduate assistants; strong entrepreneurial, outreach, and communication skills.
