Provides administrative and logistical support to the Artistic Planning Department..
P rovides support to visiting guest artists in terms of accommodations and travel.
Supervises rehearsals and concerts of guest artists/managers as appropriate.
Generates and tracks all guest artist contracts for the department.
Processes artistic department payments and tracks for budgets.
Maintains season planning grids and change sheets for the department.
Ensures accurate information in marketing materials and on website.
Manages new music commission projects: tracks commission progress and coordinates with Library, Orchestra Personnel, composers and publishers.
Serves as primary liaison for Composer in Residence.
Obtains working visas for foreign artists who require them.
Other duties as required.
We require a minimum of five years' experience working in a performing arts, artist management or concert production organization, a college degree, strong knowledge of classical music, excellent computer (MS Office and ability to work with Artsvision or other customized software applications) and organizational skills. The right candidate will be able to work effectively with a wide variety of people and can multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding communications skills are essential. Language skills, especially German and/or Chinese, are a plus.
