Posting Description
Provides support to keep assembly equipment and auto packers running and producing good quality parts. Conducts a variety of mechanical tests on assemblies to ensure unit functions according to specifications. Loads, unloads and moves material within assembly department

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Unjam parts and recycles assembly machines and auto packers (robots).

Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.

Open containers.

Load and unload materials by hand onto or from pallets, boxes, bins and shelves.

Fill hoppers, bins, feeders and elevators as necessary.

Maintain acceptable visual quality level of all parts produced.

Sort, audit, and check parts for grease, damage, missing components, proper tube length, etc.

Read work orders, test manuals and performance specifications to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.

Calibrate test instruments according to specifications.

Connect unit to be tested to test equipment, if required. Test functional performance of unit and parts under specified instructions.

Verify dimensions of parts. Verify internal assembly and alignment of parts according to specifications.

Compare results with specifications and record test data. Analyze test results on defective units to determine extent of failure. Confer with production personnel regarding testing and results.

Pack product as needed.

Weigh-count boxed production and check orders for completion.

Close, tape, and label boxes of finished product.

Operate bar code scanner for production and inventory control.

Make bags and break down boxes.

Maintain housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of assigned area.

Train temporary or new employees.

Responsible for performing work at or above standard rate.

Responsible for throwing scrap and trash in proper containers.

Required to work safely and report any safety hazards to immediate supervisor.

Must follow all MWV Calmar work rules and policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.
