The Celestar Corporation has an IMMEDIATE NEED to identify a Assessment Specialist - SME for an exciting opportunity coming available at DIA HQs, Joint Base Anacostia/Bolling, Wash D.C. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: TS/SCI - Current DIA TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable. Background investigations should be no greater than 4 years old.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as an Assessments Specialist to coordinate the tracking of outcomes assessment progress and the assessment efforts of academic programs with a particular focus on education programs accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Facilitate the work and outcomes assessment of non-academic programs exploring the possibility of authorization and/or accreditation.

Responsible for all student-learning assessment related activities as well as playing a role in implementing related institutional research and assessment projects.

Develop the student learning outcomes assessment system currently in place, conduct workshops, focus groups, and spearhead efforts to integrate modern student learning assessment techniques with educational (classroom) practice.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ hours of coursework in statistical theory or courses in education, social sciences, or related area with emphasis on application of assessment methods to specific subject matter fields.

3-5 years of research design, data collection/analysis, assessment, technology and statistical software to design means of assessment and analyzing data

Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to operate independently

Strong time management skills; excellent presentation and communication skills (oral and written); effective people skills

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite; SPSS or equivalent statistical package

TS/SCI is required; background investigations should be no greater than 4 years old

Take and pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph

PREFERRED

Familiarization with Blackboard and CourseEval

Current DIA-issued TS/SCI clearance is preferred/highly desirable
