Currently, we are recruiting for Test Developers in the following areas of expertise:

  • English Language Arts * English Language Learning (Domestic & International)
  • Mathematics * Science
  • Social Studies * Writing & Verbal Skills
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Write and review items; gather and resolve feedback from multiple sources on items; evaluate item acceptability after testing.
  • Participate and manage constructed-response scoring activities, including work with faculty consultants or state department staff.
  • Approve items for use on tests, evaluating both content and psychometric properties.
  • Recruit, train, and manage outside item writers; develop item writer training materials; assist with the facilitation of item writer training meetings.
  • Design and develop new assessments and innovative products and services, working with project team and client.
  • Work with client committees, including organizing meetings and review materials, recruiting and training committee members, and summarizing analysis results.
  • Review and revise program publications and interpretive test preparation materials

Required Experience:
REQUIREMENTS FOR A JUNIOR LEVEL POSITION

A master’s degree in field of specialty. Three years of increasingly responsible professional experience, including teaching, educational measurement, applied statistics, or editing.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A MID-LEVEL POSITION

A master’s degree in field of specialty. Five to six years of increasingly responsible professional experience, including teaching, educational measurement, applied statistics, or editing.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A SENIOR-LEVEL POSITION

A master’s degree in field of specialty. Seven to eight years of increasingly responsible professional experience, including teaching, educational measurement, applied statistics, or editing.
