The Asset Management Engine Service Manager provides functional process leadership for the engine business including, forecasting, configuration management, repair cost management, inventory optimization, timely delivery of assets, and growth initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible to manage and grow sales of a 200MM new and overhauled gas turbine business. This position is located in Cincinnati Ohio.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:
Lead the procurement and delivery execution of new and overhauled engines to meet customer requirements

Coordinate all logistics, including import / export / trade compliance documentation required for shipping

Act as the main liaison with GE Aviation Supply Chain and Aero Services Sales team in forecasting the appropriate quantity and configuration of new aeroderivative engines required to support the Services sales plan

Coordinate and host customer test witness of assets as required

Create and procure all required documents to meet contractual and shipping requirements, such as; Import & Export Trade Compliance, IATA & 49 CFR Dangerous Goods compliance, test reports, proforma and commercial invoices, bill of lading etc.

Proactively communicate fulfillment status from engine readiness to ship through title transfer to the external customer

Act as focal point and technical director on creation of workscopes and configuration changes supporting the delivery of new and overhauled aero derivative gas turbines

Develop and communicate the work scope with a budgetary cost estimate of repairs and track to actual

Setup a cost budget and appropriate metrics to track costs for each project with a focus on maximizing operating margin

Actively participate in the ITO purchase order hand-off process for assigned assets to ensure a smooth OTR delivery process; i.e. configuration, title transfer, payment terms, LDs, etc.

Take ownership and proactively manage the inventory level and turn metric for new and overhauled engines

Use creativity to develop the appropriate mix of assets to support the current quarter sales plan and maximize inventory turns

Proactively communicate current and forecasted inventory levels to support the ITO sales plan

Develop and maintain on-time delivery and net promoter score for new and overhauled assets

Lead the development and implementation of critical business initiatives as required


Bachelor Degree in a Technical discipline from accredited college or university (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience with gas turbines engines, processes, and configuration)

Minimum of 5 years of operations background, proven track record in achieving results

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Working knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, cost management, and configuration management

Prior experience in Aviation Engine Supply Chain

Project management experience in Oracle

Aeroderivative application experience
