The Jones International University (JIU) Assistant, Faculty Development supports the Chair of Faculty Development to ensure fulfillment of the university’s vision and mission. The Assistant supports the coordination and implementation of development programs for faculty and assists the Chair in the coordination of sponsored faculty research in support of the Society of Scholars.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Working with the Chair of Faculty Development, the assistant will:
Schedule faculty training courses and events
Coordinate faculty training with Project Manager – Faculty Records, Faculty Coordinator, and University Support
Maintain documentation on training and development activities and revisions
Schedule ongoing faculty development events
Coordinate with Faculty Coordinator and Academic Deans
Organize virtual and in-person events related to faculty training, development, and scholarship
Prepare materials for faculty events and activities
Coordinate and manage records of faculty applications for scholarship and development funds through the Society of Scholars
Work with Faculty Coordinator and Director of Instructional Design to coordinate the development of training and development programs in JESS and other learning platforms
Other duties as assigned.
