Grey Activation + PR is based in Grey's global headquarters in New York City and has a proven track record of creating famously effective non-traditional marketing and public relations campaigns that move the needle, reach multiple audiences, impact pop culture, and get talked about. About the Position:
We are seeking a junior publicist with 1-3 years of experience focusing on lifestyle, technology or entertainment clients. This individual should have passion for the ultimate goal – securing media coverage as it relates to clients’ overall marketing strategy. Whether pitching desk sides, managing media lists or brainstorming launch event concepts – this individual should exude a maturity beyond their years and be a total go getter.
Working on a number of PR retainer clients, he/she must have the ability to manage simultaneous projects at once. The role will report to our Vice President of PR as well as additional senior members of the PR team. This person must think strategically and offer creative ideas and solutions to build our clients’ businesses.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are crucial, as is deep knowledge of and passion for pop culture and the PR, advertising, media and marketing agency world. Social media experience and understanding is a BIG plus. Creativity, teamwork and strategic integrated thinking will allow for this individual to truly grow within the position.
- Support the day-to-day account management of PR outreach, managing status reports, measurement, billing and other daily account maintenance projects
- Assist in implementing a PR strategy for retainer clients with proactive and reactive PR outreach
- Lead competitive research and analysis reports
- Network on behalf of clients and the agency
- Assist in all PR-worthy activations – events, talent deals, partnerships, sponsorships, promotions, digital initiatives
- Support VP and agency’s senior executives in new business pitches and PR strategy development
- Contribute to overall Grey and Grey Alliance agency culture
Ideal candidates have 1-4 years of experience at a PR agency or brand. Salary range depends on level of experience. Timing is immediate.
