TRISUN Healthcare is currently hiring an Assistant Administrator to join our Vista Ridge of Lewisville team!!
Assist in administering, directing and coordinating all activities of nursing home to carry out its mission and objectives and legal compliance in the provision of healthcare and participation in the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Administrator is responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the nursing home, to include the application and the implementation of established policies that achieve resident services and business objectives.
Supports quality processes that achieve positive resident service.
Is a liaison among Operations management, the medical staff and the departments within the nursing home.
Assist in operation of the facility in accordance to established Policies and Procedures.
Prepares and forwards all reports required by management and the licensing authorities.
Works with department heads in the hiring of personnel and assures that there are adequate numbers of staff to meet the needs of the residents on a twenty four hour basis.
Develops or expands programs or services for community health and welfare promotion.
Assists in administering fiscal operations such as budget planning, accounting.
Makes recommendations for improvement of, and additions to, nursing home buildings and equipment.
Assists in directing and coordinating activities of medical, nursing, and administrative staff services.
Represents nursing home at community meetings and promotes programs through various community events.
Assist in the supervision and evaluation implementation of the "Resident’s Rights".
Participates and attends periodic in-services and staff meetings.
Credentialing and contracts for the facility.
Attends and participates in scheduled in-service programs and staff meetings.
Maintains confidentiality of necessary information.
Understands and adheres to the guidelines of "Residents Rights."
Social Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Dietary, Human Resources, Admissions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in nursing home administration or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Experience in Long Term Care, preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/and/or Registrations, etc..:
Must hold current Administrators’ License as required by State law.
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Must also have excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills and the ability to communicate professionally, effectively and positively to management, staff, visitors and residents, in order to provide direction and support for the facility and team. Must be proficient in state compliance issues. Must be a self-starter and logical thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to grow employees individually and as a team.
