(ABM) is responsible for supporting Branch Manager (BM) to lead a branch team to achieve sales, service and operation excellence. The Assistant Branch Manager will assist in building and expanding commercial and retails sales relationships along with being accountable for branch sales results. The Candidate will assist in mentoring and developing branch operations staff, achieve challenging sales and service goals for all areas of the branch.
Duties (not limited to)
Reinforce East West Bank’s Vision, Mission, and Values through words and actions.
Build relationships with consumer and business customers by uncovering customer’s needs to provide financial solutions that include deposit accounts, credit solutions, investment services, and other financial products and services.
Achieve operational excellence at all times by ensuring and enforcing ALL staff members to comply with Bank Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (Privacy) and Fair Lending regulations.
Ensure Branch’s operation achieve the highest level of efficiency by overseeing daily operational performance of Customer Service Specialist (CSS), Senior Customer Service Representative (SCSR), Customer Service Representative (CSR), Senior In-Store Banker (SIB) and In-Store Banker (IB) job families.
Enhance customer satisfaction by consistently engaging and connecting with customers to exceed service expectation in timely manner and by effectively resolving problems.
Supervise and coach each CSS/SCSR/CSR (or SIB/IB) to achieve Teller Referral goals (or In- Store Banker Sales goals) by effectively executing Teller Referral Management (TRM) or In-store
Banker Sales Management (IBSM) process.
Under the guidance and supervision of BM, work within branch’s assigned FTE plan to
Develop staffing schedule to meet daily business needs.
Support and assist BM to manage sales activities by analyzing sales reports, identifying performance gaps, setting effective action plans, clearly communicating expectations, monitoring performance progress, and inspecting the results.
Perform BM’s supervisory and operational responsibilities during the absence of BM by making sound decisions and motivating team members to build exceptional teamwork to maintain winning attitude and positive behaviors.
Develop employees by clearly communicating expectation, observing and coaching employees, assessing performance results, and working with the employee to establish
Individual Development Plan (IDP) for career development.
Involve with the local organizations and participate in local community events to introduce and expand East West Bank’s relationship and reputation.
Willing to work flexible or extended working hours to meet business needs.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Well experienced in retail banking operation management; knowledgeable in residential, trade and small business lending, as well as investment products
Well connected and motivated to work closely with superiors and subordinates to promote branch sales/services.
At least three years of retail branch experience, with a portion of that experience in a supervisory role.
Excellent communication, customer service and sales skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as required to meet branch operating needs, as well as, attend meetings or events during or after work hours pertaining to training or community evolvement
