Our Civil Engineers are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of civil project work, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.
Opportunities for our Civil Engineers exist in multiple market segments and locations. Market segments include Aviation & Facilities, Energy and Transmission & Distribution groups. Our offices include Minneapolis, Phoenix and Chicago. Specific assignments and project work varies depending on the market segments and locations. Please see below for information on each market:
Aviation & Facilities:
Project work includes design of airfield infrastructure type projects including runways, taxiways, aprons and site development. Projects include both military and commercial aviation projects involving grading, drainage, utilities, and pavement analysis and design.
Transmission & Distribution:
Design work of electrical substations, both overhead and underground high-voltage transmission lines. Areas of design include site development, foundation and steel design, linear facility design, electrical & mechanical material design, and wood/steel/concrete structure design, all for a variety of clients across the country.
Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited program.
Successful completion of FE/EIT strongly preferred.
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
Involvement on campus or in the community.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
