The primary role of the Assistant Community Director to maximize the collection of rents and monies due while maintaining the resident records and property financial data. This position also assists the Community Director in managing and maintaining the community.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining resident records and property financial data
  • Supporting the Community Director
  • Showing apartments and closing with potential residents
  • Recording all traffic and leasing activity
  • Moving-in residents
  • Ensuring grounds are ready for use
  • Preparing service requests and assigning them to the maintenance staff
  • Maintaining renewal programs
  • Collecting rent
  • Ensuring all applications, new move-ins, and renewals are entered into the database
  • Processing move-outs
  • Ensuring offices are organized
  • Reviewing payroll

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of College strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of Property Management
  • Knowledge of on-site management operations
  • 1-2 years of leasing or assistant manager experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to adhere to set and variable work schedule, including weekends and emergencies as required
  • Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Able to professionally interact with customers, residents, and guests as needed
  • Own a valid driver's license with good driving record and current automobile insurance
  • Strong Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than "home" property
  • Able to travel within major metropolitan area and may be required to attend company functions in cities other than home city requiring overnight stays
