Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Overall

Month End Cycle

Responsible for month end close including:
All accounting functions - fixed assets, payroll entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, consolidation of global activity and multi-company consolidation.

Preparing, reviewing and/or approving journal entries.

Responsible for timely completion of all general ledger account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, sub-ledger reconciliations for fixed assets, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Lead the monthly accounting process and manage resources accordingly to ensure the quality of the financial statements.

Monthly Financial Statement preparation including multi-company consolidation.

Coordinate with Global Accounting for organized consolidation of Global Activity.

Reporting and Audit preparations

Responsible for distribution of monthly financial results to department management.

Responsible for quarterly and annual financial reporting including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.

Coordinates and participates in the Financial Compliance reporting for our Managed Care and other departments as necessary.

Plans and continuously prepares for external audits including the annual Financial Audit, Single Audit (A133) and specific Grant Audits, etc.

Management

Ability to effectively manage senior and staff accounting staff.

Leads and/or participates in the development and implementation of the financial policies and procedures for the Company.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university and ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of seven to ten years Accounting Manager, Audit Manager or higher experience. California C.P.A license is preferred.

Computer/Software Skills & Abilities

To perform this job successfully, and individual should have demonstrated high level skills in Microsoft Office software including Excel , Word, and Outlook. MAS90 or equivalent proficient.

Proficient in Advanced Excel functionality

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Proficient in Access

Must have strong organizational skills
