Community Education Centers is seeking an Assistant Controller to work at its corporate office located in West Caldwell, New Jersey. In this role you will be responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the accounting team, managing systems and processes and reviewing and communicating the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results.
You will also be required to:
Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting closes
Ensure that the Companys consolidated financial statements are recorded in compliance with GAAP
Coordinate tax compliance matters
Serve as liaison with external auditors (accounting, tax and lender)
Lead or participate in the preparation of accurate and timely internal and external management reports to include GAAP financial statements
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, CPA, public and private accounting, 15+ years experience is required.
You will also need a strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls and the general ledger operations. You must have the ability to multi-task, be deadline oriented and flexible enough to work in a fast paced environment. Must have strong basic MS Office skills, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
