This position will work in a fast-paced environment at Epiq eDiscovery Solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Subsidiary Controller and supervise the accounting and billing staff. The candidate is expected to be fully knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and procedures, as well as able to research solutions and proper treatment for more technically difficult principals. The position will also interact with the sales team, senior management team, and corporate finance team. The candidate must be professional and able to handle multiple on-going projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the monthly close process of multiple subsidiaries; meeting accuracy and timeliness of Company Standards
Preparation of journal entries.
Preparation of month end schedules of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts.
Perform analytics of business factors
Adhere to controls in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley, monitor adherence to internal controls, and direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative records. Including coordination of activites to fulfill the monthly subsidiary internal controls self-assessments.
Review contract set-up in SAP by the billing group and coordinate intrasegment billings
Supervise and review the calculation of commission for all EDS subsidiaries, including the issuing of sales team reconciliation statements monthly.
Manage and develop accounting staff. Some travel required to work with staff at other locations.
Interact with Senior Management Team and Corporate Finance Team.
Assist with application of revenue regulation policies and customer contract support.
Assist in development of yearly budget.
Assist in development and implementation of Company goals, policies, and procedures.

- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience supervising accounting staff
- Experience with SAP accounting software strongly preferred
- Accounting Certification (i.e. CPA, CMA) preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred

- Professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
