The Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing Speck ’s financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP in an accurate and timely manner. The position reports to the Corporate Controller and works closely with other department managers (Inventory, Operations, Logistics) to ensure consistent processes, transactions, and controls.

What you ’ll do: Manage the monthly close process and all related activities to support timely and accurate financial statements. Manage and improve Speck ’s ongoing accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Inventory costing, and Cash Management. Assist in coordinating the accounting for foreign entities such as our entity in China. This may include working with our advisors on transfer pricing, consolidation, foreign currency translation, tax returns, etc.

Help manage the accounting resources and systems to handle Speck ’s projected growth over the next several years. Monitor and adjust internal control processes. Work with IT, Customer Service, Finance and Operations to create efficient processes and procedures between departments. Work closely with the Controller to coordinate and be responsible for all tax and audit activities with Speck ’s CPAs.

This includes income, sales and property taxes, annual audits and management letters. Serve as a resource for technical accounting guidance as needed Your Professional Profile: Bachelor ’s degree in business, accounting, or finance 8+ years accounting experience Equally comfortable with digging into the details as well as strategizing at a high level Inventory / cost related experience preferred Well rounded performer with excellent analytical, interpersonal, technical and communication skills. Computer skills - Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and NetSuite or other ERP system experience required . .
