Assistant ControllerSunrise Company, a residential community developer, is seeking an Assistant Controller for its corporate office in Palm Desert, CA. Responsibilities include home construction and membership fee billings, cash management, cost accounting, financial statement preparation, property tax analysis and oversight of annual audits for various real estate projects with varied operations and complex entity structures. Must be familiar with real estate transaction documents, including deeds of trust, notices of completion, and title policies. Must be willing and able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with homebuyers, members, trade partners, peers and senior management. Qualified applicants must have at least five years of real estate accounting experience, accounting degree and advanced proficiency with Excel. CPA desirable.
