Under direction of the supervisor, provides input into treatment planning and delivering chemical dependency services to designated patients, families and concerned persons served through Recovery Plus.
Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards.
Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
Patients served are ages 12 years and older.
High School diploma or equivalent, with 2 years post secondary training in related field, required.
1 year experience working with chemically dependent people including volunteer experience, peer mentoring, or recovery support work required.
Any persons who have direct client contact must have been free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
Chemical use problems includes the following:
Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements;
Chemical use that has a negative impact on the staff member’s job performance;
Chemical use that affects the credibility of the treatment services with clients, referral sources or other members of the community; and
Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.
