Assistant Dean, Student Services

This position reports to the Dean of Student Services and is primarily responsible for resolution of all student conduct issues and maintenance of all related files, in addition to assisting with daily student services administration. Works directly with the Dean to coordinate actions consistent with the College's mission, strategic goals and objectives, and responds to faculty concerns regarding student issues and discipline. Provides appropriate training to student, staff and faculty on related topics. Recommends and assists with the development and maintenance of procedures and goals. Supports functional areas of the campus Student Services operations. Provides in direct supervision of staff as needed. Serves as representative in the absence of the Dean.
Master's degree required within specific subject area related to the position.
Minimum of four years related experience required.
Experience in higher education administration and experience in counseling students required.
Detail oriented, strong leadership skills, conflict resolution skills, strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management skills, and multitasking capabilities are all required.
Must have the ability to research information for problem solving, and the ability to work with diverse populations and varying education levels.
