The Assistant Director, Faculty Programs is responsible for the oversight of all living learning programs and faculty engagement initiatives sponsored by the Department of Residential Life and Housing Services. The breadth of these programs include: 22 Faculty Fellows-in-Residence, two communities based in a Residential College model, a visiting faculty speaker series, a substance-free floor, and more than 40 theme-based communities. The ADFP provides direct supervision to professional and graduate-level student staff and works closely with hall staff and faculty members, providing functional supervision in responsibilities related to faculty programs and collaboration. The ADFP manages the budget associated with faculty programs and faculty stipending and oversees purchasing support for programs facilitated in the living learning communities. The ADFP is a member of the department senior staff and contributes to residence hall curriculum development, student-based initiatives, program assessment, and other department initiatives.

Qualifications/Required Education:
Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration/Higher Education or related field.

Preferred Education:
Required Experience:
4 years experience in student affairs/academic environment or equivalent combination. Must include experience with residential education, community development, program implementation, and staff supervision.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in living learning programs and in marketing and overall residence life program.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population within a multicultural environment. Experience advising student groups.
